Vegetable Gelatine-Salad Recipe

Serves: 6
Ready in: 12 hours


  • 200 g. carrots
  • 200 g. frozen green peas
  • 350 g. potatoes
  • 5 eggs, boiled
  • 100 g. apples
  • 6 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 3 tsp. sour-cream
  • 200 ml. vegetable broth
  • 20 g. gelatine
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

1. Boil the carrots, peas and potatoes. Slice carrots and potatoes. Slice apple and add in salad bowl together with vegetables.
2. Stir in mayonnaise, sour-cream, mustard and salt and pepper to taste.
3. Dissolve gelatine in vegetable broth. Then add in salad bowl and mix well. Add in all the rest ingredients, except the eggs.
4. Cover the bottom of loaf pan with plastic wrap. Add in half salad. Place boiled eggs like train and cover with the second part of salad. Place it in the refrigerator overnight.

Snake Shaped Vegetable Salad Recipe

Snake Shaped Vegetable Salad

Serves: 3
Prep: 25 minutes
Ready in: 35 minutes


  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 5 dill pickles
  • 50 g. caviar or 1 canned olives
  • 5 g. dill
  • 150 ml. mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

1. Boil potatoes, eggs and carrot; peel and grate them thickly.
2. Cut dill pickles into a thin circle and semicircle shapes; chop the dill.
3. Arrange half of potatoes in coiled snake shape on round or oval plate; add salt and pepper to taste; add grated carrots and eggs through shape; add salt and pepper once more.
4. Use bell pepper to cut out snake`s tongue shape(I skipped this step and made snake without of tongue); slice the rest of the pepper and add to snake together with dill.
5. Add the second part of potatoes; season with salt and pepper and cover with mayonnaise layer.
6. Stick dill pickle slices and olives(or caviar); arrange this last one only in one line above.
7. Use whole olives or caviar as eyes and stick the pepper tongue. Snake is ready to be eaten!
